1992 Alfa Romeo 75 2.0 T/S LE

I have known this car since I was spotty teenager as she was bought new by the next door neighbours of a close family friend who replaced their Sud Sprint, itself previously replacing a 116 Giulietta. She remained in their ownership until 2006 when I was contacted by the son and informed that his mother had passed away and they no longer had use for the car. Naturally I snapped it up, as at this point she had covered just 60k or so and had been repainted only a couple of years previously to fix the usual ‘Alfa Pink’ paintwork. Shortly afterwards I found her a new home with an Alfa enthusiast who kept her until 2012, when a new job requiring a car to cover high mileage meant he felt she needed to go into retirement. She then passed to a retired friend of his who also is a serial Alfa owner before I aquired her.

With such low ownership history and enthusiast owners who have kept her garaged throughout her entire life it is no suprise to hear she comes complete with a F.S.H. from new. This care has also meant she has escaped the ravages of the dreaded rust, never having been welded underneath & still featuring her original rust free bulkhead! In 2006 she was cavity wax protected with Dinitrol 3125 and the underside treated with a wax based sealer, both carried out by me. The front seats had the notoriously wear prone centres retrimmed in the last of the original material from Recaro so are in perfect order and the wheels were professionally refurbished and are still in superb order today.

The current mileage is 99,700.

Recent work includes:

1. New clutch master & slave cylinders (November 2013).
2. New exhaust manifold to down pipe gaskets (November 2013).
3. Engine service (August 2013).
4. 2x new Yokohama tyres.
5. New battery.

In the recent past she has also benefitted from a full prop shaft overhaul, new gearbox mounts and is fitted with a CSC rear silencer and centre box (these are the only non standard parts on the car). Consequently she drives just as she should. She is taxed until the end of August and will be supplied with a full 12 months MOT.

Please call to arrange viewing. I doubt one like this will hang around for long!

Description

I purchased this car last November as one to keep as it must be one of the best 2.0 75’s left in existence and I couldn’t resist! However, 8 months on I have realised that I just don’t use her enough and cannot justify storing, taxing and runnning another car for myself.
